The price of diesel continues to soar as the war in the Middle East rages on and access to global fuel supplies remains restricted. Despite the federal government cutting the fuel tax excise, the average price of diesel is well above $3 a litre again. Why is diesel rising, and what impact does it have on Australia, given most freight transport relies on diesel, along with almost 30 per cent of passenger vehicles?
